Well, my weekly review...
And already I'm feeling the pressure and the heat of polytechnic life...yipes! It's been a crazy and hectic week for me, the time to adjust myself to the new surroundings, the new system, the new people...Don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't like being in poly because in fact I do! It's really free because you're able to do anything you want (most of the time...) and you don't really have to follow the rules (i mean, pfft! who wears a landyard anyway?)...
MondayFirst day of school...dum dum dum...you'd expect freshies to be lost and crowding around trying to find their cliques or people they know from orientation and camps and stuff...and I'm no different. Yes, I'm not those kind who thinks they know everything and are too confident of themselves that you immediately detest them...hahakz...I was nervous and confused. I bumped into Zi Hui at the MRT (thank heavens!) and we went to school together. I was supposed to meet Amanda at Dover, and yeah she was late as usual, but not so bad. She's even more lost than I am...hehekz...she skipped the orientation and flag day so you can imagine the mess she's in. But she managed it really well...and managed to get to class...Well, first days are all about introduction and "get-to-know-you-better" games and all that. Ate at food court 6 for the break because the rest of the class was there...the food's really cheap! Yay! Received my first assignment (darn that Lau!) and it was freaking difficult! Shit that Design Thinking. Lecture was BORING! And it was a relief to be able to go home!
TuesdayMore "get-to-know-you" stuff...talked about issues during Critical Reasoning Skills and as much as I was trying to pay attention, I was just nodding to everything the lecturer was saying but my mind was a thousand miles away...flying above the clouds and building castles in the air...blah blah blah...IDS is all about HTML so it's not tough at all...yet...
Got a new handphone! Whee!!
WednesdayThe only day I look forward to! Yes! Although on the down side I have to wake up at 7 in the morning, I can go home at 1! YAY! But there was a CCA drive thing, and as you know, CCA is now compulsory, so I basically have no choice but to go through the quick mess of people. Finally settled with Hip Hop...you know how much I like to dance right...(only thing JSS doesn't have a decent dance team) so I signed up. Trainings are every Thursday...but at the risk of sounding disloyal to SP, I like NP's dance team better (not to mention Magnum Force! Urgh! Sue you little witch!)...
Went home to change and then had to go to work. Hahakz...Sue just finished her camp and then she came to JSB! hahakz...Had a bit of fun and stuff...By the time I reached home, I was so darn tired! And there's still school the next day!
ThursdayHad just 2 modules that day but boy were they long! The first class was DET, and that already gave EVERYONE in class a BIG headache...and then there's 4 hours of Drawing Studio, which is basically about 1 hour of tutorial and the rest of it practical. We had to do do still-life sketching of basic objects, and it was okay I guess...I never was any good at still-life...especially sketching...probably gonna die in this module...Received another assignment, which consists of 3 workbook exercises (all about still-life...WTF right?)...
Went to JSB after school to just take my mind off things for a while. I don't know, it's weird...when you're working, you stress out but when you're not, work is a good place to relief stress! Serious!
FridayLast day of school for the week! YAY!! The good news is that at the last lesson, you can just speed out of class and go home and sleep! The bad news is that, there're TONS of assignments to think about...My brains can burst! Firstly for VDS, there's research to do for our art pieces, where at the end of week 4 (if I'm not mistaken) we'll have to submit 4 artwork! DIE!! And then dum dum dum HCD had to pile up more stuff...I have to do a 500-word essay AND research on a project that we have to do individually...Shit man! Well then, I met Sue so that we could go JSB together...and that girl joined Magnum Force! SO NOT FAIR!
So anyway...got to JSB...like usual we menyemakkan tempat...hahakz...then tried on Sue's lab coat and clowned around, take photo, crap around...it was fun...a good day to totally let loose! And that fella called me an eskimo! Why he!!
