Whoa! What a week it has been!!! I was so glad when Friday rolled by and all 'cause I was so exhausted! I felt like a punctured tyre! There are so many assignments to do and all, plus work...I'm surprised I haven't collapsed or anything! So yes, here's my weekly update (more so for me to keep track than for you to know...).
MondayWent to school, as usual, and first period was Oral Communication. It's quite an okay class, quite interesting and funny! Yeah, it's like speech and drama class to me. You can just let yourself lose in there! We had to do a group discussion on our presentation that's going to be held after e-learning week, and my group, comprising of me, Zi Hui, Nicholas, Vincent and Hui Xiang (what a combo, eh? 2 girls and 3 guys...hahakz...), chose the theme on Disney and the Evolution on the Animations...hahakz...blur...we don't know where to begin, but we roughly had the skeleton done. The funny bit is after that, when we had to pick one person in the group and he/she had to try and convince the lecturer why he/she deserve to be Miss/Mr SP! hahakz...imagine how hilarious it was! DET as usual was confusing so I spaced out...and then there's IDS where we learned HTML again...*yawn*...After that, supposedly there was no lecture, but the lecturer asked us to stay back to duplicate 1500 copies of the SMIT yearbook...*groan*...No choice, so had to help out but I managed to get out of there by 5.30, then had to rush to work, and I was late. Furthermore, I was doing closing that night (the horror!!) and I was all over the place! I think Sue dropped by at night (I can't quite remember...did you drop by, Sue?) and told me she couldn't work on Friday and wanted me to replace her...how could I resist?
TuesdayA day to breathe I guess. There's CRS, which is not so bad, since we had to watch a DVD, which is really interesting! Hahakz...I can still remember the quote the speaker said about an ad on Calvin Klein's jeans! And then it's IDS all the way, which is really boring (okay, so maybe it's just me) because we were learning how to use Dreamweaver and I wasn't interested. Seriously, if a module doesn't appeal to me, I just can't be bothered about it! No work today. Thank god!
WednesdayProbably one of the great days of the week! Field trip!! Yes, 2nd week and we're being whisked to the Singapore Tyler Print Institute (STPI) for research and studies! Whee! It was really exciting to learn about how printing really works and frankly I didn't know that they printed a few pieces of the same art work and number them until the lady told us. We didn't have any other classes after that, so we were free to go. Some of them decided to head down to the NAFA Graduation Exhibition while the rest of us went back to school. I met Sue at Dover because she wanted to collect her handphone which she won in an MTV contest. How lucky! I'm sooooo jealous! We ate at Pizza Hut (LOL!) and tried out the spaghetti, and Sue broke the glass! hahakz...walau! Her phone nice sia! Then from Dhoby Ghaut we went down to Orchard because she needed to collect her brother's passport from his girlfriend who was working at Paragon...walked around for a bit and then Sue had to go because she had cheerleading practice (Oh my God! I NEVER thought I'd EVER put Sue and Cheerleading in a sentence!)...hahakz...

ThursdayFirst lesson is DET and already my brain was turned to mush! Urgh! I just can't understand the freaking module! So then had Drawing Studio after that where we had to sketch more still life...not my best point but I guess I'll just have to keep practising! It's a really important module and I really hafta ace it! The lecturer said she really liked the sketch I made of my hand but I just need more tones and shading...hahakz...so proud of myself! 2 hours of drawing till my hand was cramp was worth it then! Arrived late for work again but not so bad because I was doing aux/cut and I had Maika and Hafiz helping me out. It was quite okay, was a little lost because of the new promotion and stuff!
FridayThe last day of the week! And everybody's like already half dead, so yeah. Lessons felt like free-to-roam sessions! For VDS, we had to combine with the other class because their lecturer was absent and they were having the same module as us. There were two speakers who came into class, one of them briefed us about the bookmark competition (sounds so secondary school, right?) and the other was the DCMD Head who was talking to us about our course...And for HCD, the lecturer's sort of jinxed with computers, so we ended up doing one-on-one discussion sessions on our ideas on what we were going to work on for our project. Work was SUPER busy! I was so stressed, I felt like just collapsing and crying. Luckily there was Weng Ho who helped out or I'd REALLY break down. By the end of it all, I could hardly lift my eyelids! Hafiz said I looked drunk (but how should I know? I've not been drunk before!). Then our poor fella there was whisked off to Bukit Timah and SP just to get garlic bread. No wait, I'm more to pity here *coughs*.
SaturdayYAY! FINALLY!!! A day to just totally RELAX!! Woke up and realised I was late. I had to meet Zi Hui at Jurong East MRT because we were going to the NAFA Exhibition together. Got lost...we walked a whole round of SMU and then realised the campus was just in front of Bugis. Shit the map! It was interesting, the people were really creative and I was sort of inspired! Then went back to Bugis and hung out at Starbucks to watch the Levi's Free To Move Dance Competition finals...got the best front row seat, although it's at the SIDE of the stage and not the front. But at least can see the stage and that's pretty much enough for me! Daniel Ong smiled at me! Hahakz...The competition...Wow!! Mind-blowing!! Totally rocking!! By the way, please excuse my bad photography...

The last performance I watched was the Yeabah one and then I just zipped off 'cause it was already quite late...the initial plan was to wait for the results, but...I'll get to know the results from him then...i think you can just make out his cap in the last pic...hahakz...

Well, my weekly review...
And already I'm feeling the pressure and the heat of polytechnic life...yipes! It's been a crazy and hectic week for me, the time to adjust myself to the new surroundings, the new system, the new people...Don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't like being in poly because in fact I do! It's really free because you're able to do anything you want (most of the time...) and you don't really have to follow the rules (i mean, pfft! who wears a landyard anyway?)...
MondayFirst day of school...dum dum dum...you'd expect freshies to be lost and crowding around trying to find their cliques or people they know from orientation and camps and stuff...and I'm no different. Yes, I'm not those kind who thinks they know everything and are too confident of themselves that you immediately detest them...hahakz...I was nervous and confused. I bumped into Zi Hui at the MRT (thank heavens!) and we went to school together. I was supposed to meet Amanda at Dover, and yeah she was late as usual, but not so bad. She's even more lost than I am...hehekz...she skipped the orientation and flag day so you can imagine the mess she's in. But she managed it really well...and managed to get to class...Well, first days are all about introduction and "get-to-know-you-better" games and all that. Ate at food court 6 for the break because the rest of the class was there...the food's really cheap! Yay! Received my first assignment (darn that Lau!) and it was freaking difficult! Shit that Design Thinking. Lecture was BORING! And it was a relief to be able to go home!
TuesdayMore "get-to-know-you" stuff...talked about issues during Critical Reasoning Skills and as much as I was trying to pay attention, I was just nodding to everything the lecturer was saying but my mind was a thousand miles away...flying above the clouds and building castles in the air...blah blah blah...IDS is all about HTML so it's not tough at all...yet...
Got a new handphone! Whee!!
WednesdayThe only day I look forward to! Yes! Although on the down side I have to wake up at 7 in the morning, I can go home at 1! YAY! But there was a CCA drive thing, and as you know, CCA is now compulsory, so I basically have no choice but to go through the quick mess of people. Finally settled with Hip Hop...you know how much I like to dance right...(only thing JSS doesn't have a decent dance team) so I signed up. Trainings are every Thursday...but at the risk of sounding disloyal to SP, I like NP's dance team better (not to mention Magnum Force! Urgh! Sue you little witch!)...
Went home to change and then had to go to work. Hahakz...Sue just finished her camp and then she came to JSB! hahakz...Had a bit of fun and stuff...By the time I reached home, I was so darn tired! And there's still school the next day!
ThursdayHad just 2 modules that day but boy were they long! The first class was DET, and that already gave EVERYONE in class a BIG headache...and then there's 4 hours of Drawing Studio, which is basically about 1 hour of tutorial and the rest of it practical. We had to do do still-life sketching of basic objects, and it was okay I guess...I never was any good at still-life...especially sketching...probably gonna die in this module...Received another assignment, which consists of 3 workbook exercises (all about still-life...WTF right?)...
Went to JSB after school to just take my mind off things for a while. I don't know, it's weird...when you're working, you stress out but when you're not, work is a good place to relief stress! Serious!
FridayLast day of school for the week! YAY!! The good news is that at the last lesson, you can just speed out of class and go home and sleep! The bad news is that, there're TONS of assignments to think about...My brains can burst! Firstly for VDS, there's research to do for our art pieces, where at the end of week 4 (if I'm not mistaken) we'll have to submit 4 artwork! DIE!! And then dum dum dum HCD had to pile up more stuff...I have to do a 500-word essay AND research on a project that we have to do individually...Shit man! Well then, I met Sue so that we could go JSB together...and that girl joined Magnum Force! SO NOT FAIR!
So anyway...got to JSB...like usual we menyemakkan tempat...hahakz...then tried on Sue's lab coat and clowned around, take photo, crap around...it was fun...a good day to totally let loose! And that fella called me an eskimo! Why he!!

This one week had been hectic for me! I was all over the place, honest! So many things happened, I don't even know where to begin!
Okay, so let's start with
Monday:
Had school, which started at 8.45...urgh! I had trouble waking up, as usual. I put my alarm clock at 7 am and woke up at 7.50 am instead. Shit! I was going to be late, so I quickly went to get dressed and all, I grabbed the first thing I saw and I rushed out of the house. I was at the lift when I realised I was wearing my old specs, the one I now only use for reading and using the computer. So I had to rush back into the house and stuff. Reached Jurong East MRT Station and bumped into Zi Hui, and I was relieved! Then saw a couple of people from Jurong Sec at Singapore Poly, a lot of familiar faces. God, it was a boring day! We listened to briefings after briefings after briefings! At first, we went to the computer lab and did some account stuff, and then they briefed us about flag day. Then there's a break where we all had a bite at cafeteria 4, the one with the air con! wohoo! The place was packed! I bumped into Tianji and then there are some more others. I was lining up and then a guy behind me was talking on his handphone and I turned around, and realised some JSS Sec 5 students were behind the guy. Suddenly the guy tapped on my shoulder and asked me "is this cafeteria six?" and I was like, "no, four."
Hahakz...then it was back to more briefings, and at the auditorium, people were falling asleep, including the guy beside me, Vincent. I had to wake him up at one point and he sorta snickered. hahakz...We were finally dismissed at around 4.45 pm and I was so tired!
And then
Tuesday:
Hahakz...I skipped the SMIT activities that day because I just can't be bothered. Instead, I went out with Sue! Whee!! She was working till 3 so I had to pick her up. So we went Suntec City (again...) and this time it was my turn to shop! YAY! If Sue shops, it'll take half of the day until she FINALLY decides on something, so I decided I'll do mine first. Bought a skirt and 3 tops from 37 Degrees (whoops!) and then a cap at Royal Sporting House.
And then (dum dum dum) I made a mistake of suggesting we invite Saiful to join us for dinner. It wasn't my fault though that Sue actually went ahead and really called him out. So we were like deciding on where to eat as we walked around (this time we sort of got lost) and then we had to go through the task of waiting for him to arrive.

.:: One, Two Step ::.

.:: Marina Square (Serious!) ::.

.:: Esplanade (again...) ::.

.:: Hahakz... ::.
And when he did, you can very well expect me to whine to myself. What do you expect? Sue, it's SO obvious he fancies you, okay! Next time, remind me to bring another person with me or better yet ask him to bring a friend so I won't be so extra. Touch touch here, touch touch there...gatal! Tak boleh take it! Macam I'm babysitting the both of you, aiyo! Went to Burger King to eat...I was starving! While eating they still can touch touch here, touch touch there, and I almost choked! Serious! Then we wandered around and finally took a cab back home...

.:: Nothing Better To Do ::.

.:: Meet Our New Member ::.

.:: Saiful, Sue, Me ::.
Then
Wednesday:
Flag Day. Just one word: BORING!
I got posted to Chinatown, pfft! And my shirt was bloody huge! Well, at least you can tell who's from Singapore Poly...Got a lot of tourists though, and there's this one caucasian who's really generous. He's already donated before, because he already has a sticker, but he donates somemore anyway. And then he was like asking me where the bathroom was, so I told him to head down to the MRT station since he just needed to take the escalator down to reach it. So when he came back up, I asked him if he found the loo, and he patted my shoulder and said, "yeah, thank you, thank you very much..."
Then we went to eat at Burger Kings (me and Zi Hui) and then got a call from the others. And you know what? They're at freaking Bugis, getting the materials for school. That was one thing, so we went to join them and all, went Bras Basah, and then they left us. We couldn't find them, so we took the MRT back, until I called Nicholas in the train and he told us they were in a train as well--the one in front of us--and I'd be lying if I didn't say I was a little pissed. So, okay, I admit it wasn't their fault as well, Zi Hui and I kept disappearing too. Went back to school, counted the money and then we were dismissed.
So I decided to go to JSB to drop by for fun. And hey, you don't expect to arrive at work empty-handed right? So I bought a couple of snacks for the others, and then helped out a bit...hahakz...and then at 6.30 or so I went home...slept early 'cause I was so freaking tired!
Now for
Thursday:
I had work...started at 4 pm...and Sue waited for me! Awwwww...she was working morning that day.

.:: Sharul, Sue and Me ::.
It was okay, I guess, the usual night people working...There's Hafiz (dispatcher) and he's really nice. He's one of those riders whom you can talk to and crap around with...I was doing make dat day (closing some more, so you can imagine the horror) and he's usually the one who kept me going, or I'd collapse of boredom. There's Norman as well, he contributes to the noise...hahakz...
Today:
What's so good about friday if you have to work? Hahakz...well, it wasn't so busy, in fact it was quite relaxing. Slacked around and ate and ate and ate...hahakz...

Well, sue and I went out again the other day because we were so bored! But my pay hadn't rolled in yet, yikes! so i wasn't able to go shopping (I really have to cut down on what I spend, poly starting soon, so won't be able to work as much as I am now...)
So, woke up late and pushed the meeting time to one! hahakz...I had laundry to do, anyway. So met Sue and had lunch at Long John Silvers. We bumped int Hambaly and Logan there as well, and we had to ask them for directions how to get to Suntec...Then, we took the MRT and dropped at City Hall...then walked around City Link...Sue dragged me into Surfer Girl and we spent ages trying to decide on what to get till eventually she decided we walk around some more to see if there was anything better...
So we took a dozen or so escalators and headed to Suntec City...There, we went round some more, and I have a few things in mind that I wanna buy soon before school starts! And then we grabbed a quick bite at Aunty Anne's (I love the food! Yum!) and then we walked some more and decided to go Marina Square from Milenia Walk. Walked around some more, and nothing better to do, we took some pictures...

.:: Sue and Me (can't see the background though...) ::.
Hahakz...and then we went to the Esplanade. Funny sei, Wednesday also there are lots of people there. Didn't go up the roof because we're too lazy, but it's very calm and all over there, takes your mind off stress! Next time I know where to go when I wanna scream my lungs out...hahakz...

.:: Esplanade...tadaa! ::.

.:: Whee! Windy! ::.

.:: Shoes! ::.

.:: Out With The Tongue! ::.

.:: *Coughs* ::.
Hahakz...and then we went back to City Link so Sue can get her stuff and we spent like forever deciding...that Sue la! And FINALLY she bought the Roxy belt...oh! there's a really cute picture of Sue I took while she was sitting on the escalator! hahakz..ask her for it :P hahakz...So then after that, since my mum already calling me and asking what time I wanna reach home, we decided we should go.
Working later on! Yikes!
